Coach Steph moved to the Louisville area with her husband 3 years ago from Colorado. She has two awesome children; Noah, 2, and Leigh Linn, newborn. This is coach Steph's 3rd year as head coach for TSST. She was a middle school/high school Special Education teacher for 4 years and has coached at the high school swim level in Fort Collins, CO. She has coached the Northeast YMCA Tsunami swim team since December 2015. She had the opportunity to start the Unified Sports movement in Colorado which is under Special Olympics. This is where half the team consists of students with cognitive or intellectual disabilities and the other half are student helpers/volunteers. Together, they competed as a unified team in many tournaments and games across the state in both basketball and track. She is also currently on the Educational Leadership Network Board for Special Olympics Kentucky to improve the Unified movement in KY. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, kayaking, exploring new restaurants, hanging with her family and serving the community through her church and organizations.
Coach Maddie is so excited for this season to begin and start getting to know each and every one of the swimmers! She swam competitively for JCPS on the J. Graham Brown School team for 5 years and for Tom Sawyer for 6 years. She is a Sophomore at Western Kentucky University studying Nursing. In her time outside of coaching she also works as a barista for Starbucks and enjoys shopping and hanging out with her friends and family.
